Quick update to the Mine Clearer.

I've got the basic body work done, and most of the first wheel. Still a long way to go though!

Death Korps of Krieg: Mine Clearing Vehicle

First proper post!

Well, i've started work on a support vehicle for my in-progress Death Korps Armoured Company. This vehicle is designed to scout ahead of the main column of vehicles and detonate any enemy mines laid upon the route. As such, it is designed to be able to withstand these explosions. The crew compartment is raised high up above the ground, suspended between to colossal wheels designed to crush mines beneath them. The rest of the body is made up of engine and drive components. Everything is doubled up, as it's quite likely that with all the damage the vehicle takes, something will get broken.
For protection against enemy infantry, the vehicle is equipped with a small turret mounting twin linked Heavy Stubbers to pick off any men attempting to rush the vehicle.

Very much influenced by the Alkett designed Minesweeping device prototype of WW2.
